In a time when most motor racing series out there are losing sponsors due to the tough economic climate worldwide, the FIA World Touring Car Championship did just the opposite, managing to extend a fruitful partnership with suspension company Monroe.

Non-wrinkle is thatRonnie and Sammi decide to head home together. Cut to shots of housemates tsk-tsking the young lovers for being such killjoys. But … wait! Banter in the taxi leads to disaster whenRonnie makes a crack about Sammi’s big toe. Apparently she is VERY sensitive about her feet. A chill descends over the taxi, and the couple fire f-bombs at each other. Frankly, the guys who handle the bleeping duties have had an easy night so far so good to get them some work.Oh, and she also dished on her reading habits, which are pretty much nonexistent—though she did make it all the way to the second page of Twilight recently, before getting bored because “there were no pictures.”
And some people have the nerve to claim that there’s an education crisis in this country.
We just want to know when the producers of Jeopardy! are going to tap her for a celebrity episode. Pretty-please?

Only three months after GM’s new Global Steering Holdings established Nexteer Automotive from the remains of supplier Delphi, the parent company decided enough is enough and announced it will sell the unit.

Concept cars never cease to fascinate me. And if the concept car bears the brand name Mercedes Benz it can only get better. Proving my point is the exhilarating concept Mercedes-Benz BlitzenBenz which has been designed by George Yoo, a designer at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development in Carlsbad, California. The designer created this concept car during his final year at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. The concept car has been designed as a futuristic racing vehicle to be used for testing and evaluating cutting edge technology. The hi-tech design of this car has been inspired by two sources: the original Blitzen-Benz from 1909 and Alex Erlandson whose work of creating “sculptures” from trees which were grown into certain shapes gave Yoo the idea of, “what if automotive parts were to be grown and tamed to hold certain shapes”.
The exterior of this concept car has been designed to function as a base for the organic structure to sprout out from and form itself around. The individual wheel pods are held in place by this organic part. These can sense whenever the electric motors inside need to be cooled and the structure would then open up. The cool-blue color of the lighting system has been inspired by the bioluminescent capabilities of deep sea creatures.
Powered by an advanced next-generation Hygenius hybrid hydrogen engine and four in-wheel electric motors, this concept vehicle promises to woo the speedsters of tomorrow. But that is not all, enhancing its visual beauty even further is the hydrogen storage tank located below the cockpit that shows the fuel level in a small window giving a visual sense of water being recycled throughout the vehicle.
A beauty, this is one car we would love to see materialize soon.

Toyota’s diminutive Scion iQ is being reported to commence its Stateside journey, first to the Detroit Auto Show and then to a Scion dealer near you as a hybrid. The vehicle will come with some more variants and probably a changed name as well.
Simon Monjack — the British producer who was married to late screen star Brittany Murphy — is so distraught over the actress’ sudden death last month, he’s considered taking his own life.
The Clueless star, 32, died Dec. 20 after suffering a cardiac arrest at her Hollywood Hills home. She was laid to rest on Christmas Eve. Simon — who wed the actress in 2007 — is grief-stricken about Murphy’s passing and struggles to communicate without breaking down in tears, according to his mother.
“Simon is exactly as you would expect someone to be who has just lost the woman he loved. Some days he wants to kill himself, and other days he seems to be coping better. He is distraught. I speak to him everyday, and he is often in tears,” Monjack’s mother Linda revealed in an interview with PEOPLE.com this week.

Tennis, cricket and football tournaments are being planned. The school headmaster and correspondent, G J Manohar, said: “We wanted girls to benefit from the infrastructure and quality of education. That’s why we are considering making it a co-educational institution. It will also be easier for families with more than one child studying here.”

This 1080p shooter offers up better-than-usual low light performance and camera-shake compensation.
