  3. For profit health insurance companies: 11<\/li>\n
  4. Goldman Sachs: 11<\/li>\n
  5. AT&T and Verizon (tied): 10<\/li>\n
  6. Microsoft: 10<\/li>\n
  7. Facebook: 10<\/li>\n
  8. Average publicly traded company: 8<\/li>\n
  9. Apple: 5<\/li>\n
  10. Google: 3<\/li>\n
  11. CARE International: 1 (They’re not a PTC, so this is merely a non-evil reference point)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Update 12\/15\/09<\/b>: I added Exxon thanks to a comment and because of the Philip Morris synergy. Exxon’s astroturf climate change denialism<\/a> (see also<\/a>) campaign puts them in contention for the most evil publicly traded company of the modern era.<\/div>\n
