‘Afghan President Hamid Karzai protests
\nthe US military’s targeting of civilians after a US raid killed at
\nleast eight school children in the east of the war-torn country. <\/font>Karzai’s
\noffice on Monday issued a statement in which it condemned the killings
\nthat reportedly took place on Saturday in Kunar province near the
\nborder with Pakistan. <\/font><\/p>\n

“Initial reports indicate that in a
\nseries of operations by international forces in Kunar province… 10
\ncivilians, eight of them school students, have been killed,” the
\nstatement said.’<\/font><\/p>\n
