During the first nine years of the new millennium we have been
\nwitness to a rapid erosion of freedom. Our basic liberties have been
\nsystematically denigrated and diluted by a vast expansion of
\ncoordinated global tyranny.<\/p>\n

The decade is not over yet, there is still another year to go,
\nhowever, given that the mainstream media is obsessively compiling
\nit\u2019s own decade lists, we felt it necessary to draw up our own to
\nhighlight the major events that have shaped the world we now live in
\nand the future we face.<\/p>\n

It is important to stress the fact that while we have indeed
\nexperienced a decade of tyranny, we have also seen a mass awakening, an
\nexpansion of knowledge and an exponential increase in opposition to the
\nagenda we have come to know as the new world order.<\/p>\n

Here in chronological order, follow\u2019s Prisonplanet.com\u2019s defining moments of the decade.<\/p>\n

2001 \u2013 9\/11<\/strong><\/p>\n

9\/11 was the precursor for everything that followed during the
\ndecade of tyranny. The immediate invasion of Afghanistan saw the U.S.
\ngo to war without a formal declaration.<\/p>\n

\"The <\/p>\n

The passage of the USA PATRIOT Act overnight, with members of
\nCongress not even being afforded time to read it, paved the way for a
\ndecade of freedom stripping government legislation.<\/p>\n

The expansion of the phony war on terror as justification for big
\ngovernment, a domestic police state and an interventionist foreign
\npolicy also stemmed directly from 9\/11.<\/p>\n

Over the past decade we have ceaselessly exposed the lies behind
\n9\/11. We have seen the 9\/11 truth movement blossom from the efforts of
\na select few individuals to encompass the work of thousands.<\/p>\n

While there is no doubt 9\/11 is the decade of tyranny\u2019s
\ndefining moment, exposing the truth behind it has also led to to an
\nequally influential awakening that is still ongoing.<\/p>\n

2002 \u2013 Creation Of The Department of Homeland Security<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fallout of 9\/11 led to a re-alignment of power in the U.S., with
\nthe shadow government stepping out into the open and implementing
\nelements of a long term agenda to subvert Constitutional freedom.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

After the passage of the PATRIOT Act in late 2001, the next major
\nstep toward tyranny came with the expansion of the federal government
\nthrough the creation of the DHS.<\/p>\n

The DHS has played the role of the domestic police state enforcer
\nagency, encompassing every major law enforcement agency in the nation
\nunder one single office.<\/p>\n

With multiple subsequent reports and video productions fingering the
\nAmerican people as potential terrorists, the Orwellian titled agency
\nhas proven it has nothing to do with security and everything to do with
\nlimiting the freedoms of people all over the country.<\/p>\n

2003 \u2013 Invasion Of Iraq<\/strong><\/p>\n

The March 2003 invasion of Iraq was a war based on a mountain of
\nlies and deceit, and yet at the time the public swallowed the
\npropaganda with wanton bloodlust. The constant invocation of a link
\nbetween 9\/11 and Saddam Hussein was repeatedly debunked both before and
\nafter the invasion, but the course for war was set.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

The invasion was an illegal attack based on a wholly contrived
\npretext and the war was not approved by Congress. This set the
\nprecedent for unconstitutional global pre-emptive strikes in the name
\nof the war on terror. Conservative estimates<\/a>
\nput the death told as a result of the invasion at around 655,000, but
\nthis number is far higher when the previous years sanctions are taken
\ninto account. Upon U.S. occupation of the country, Iraq was turned into
\none giant gulag, with hundreds of thousands detained and held in
\ninternment camps for the most menial offenses.<\/p>\n

The occupation of Iraq provided the opportunity to build hundreds of
\nmilitary bases to be used as launch pads for future pre-emptive wars in
\nthe key geopolitical region of the Middle East.<\/p>\n

2004 \u2013 The Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandal <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Abu Ghraib torture scandal was shocking for two primary reasons.
\nThe first being the treatment of the prisoners themselves, the vast
\nmajority of whom were innocents caught up in random sweeps who had
\nnothing to do with insurgents or terrorism whatsoever. However, the
\nphotographs that were broadcast around the world only scratched the
\nsurface of the the true horror of what happened not just at Abu Ghraib,
\nbut what happened and continues to occur at dozens of U.S. torture
\ncamps around the world where suspects are illegally kidnapped and
\nimprisoned on a whim via a process euphemistically labeled
\n\u201crendition\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

The second most disturbing aspect to the story was how the media
\ncovered it and how the public\u2019s reaction was carefully
\nmanipulated. By only showing the most mild examples of torture, which
\nin reality were disgusting but to a public immersed in violent movies
\nand television were seen as tame, the true depth of the scandal, as revealed in the Taguba military report<\/a>,
\nwas disguised. Abu Ghraib was also about inoculating the public against
\nthe idea that torture was something only history\u2019s despotic
\nregimes engaged in. To many who have been completely brainwashed by
\nthis tyranny \u2013 torture is now as American as Mom and apple pie.<\/p>\n

Low-level culprits in the scandal were burned while their superiors
\nwho ordered them to torture in complete violation of both the U.S.
\nconstitution and the Geneva Conventions were protected by the Bush
\nadministration and continue to be protected by Obama who has failed to
\nfulfil his election promise that they would be prosecuted and that
\nsimilar detention sites like Guantanamo Bay would be closed.<\/p>\n

2005 \u2013 Hurricane Katrina Fallout<\/strong><\/p>\n

The disaster in New Orleans provided the federal government with the perfect opportunity to wargame a martial law takeover.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

Emergency preparedness legislation and FEMA executive orders that
\nhave been in effect for decades, were suddenly put into use at the
\nexpense of basic freedoms.<\/p>\n

The Posse Comitatus Act was overturned as active duty military
\nparaded the streets and aided police in confiscating firearms and
\nimplementing mandatory evacuation orders.<\/p>\n

The precedent has now been set for natural disasters to constitute
\nbroad sweeping changes to ancient laws and rights, overturning and
\nreplacing basic liberties with repressive mechanisms of government
\ncontrol.<\/p>\n

2006 \u2013 Liquid Bombing Scam<\/strong><\/p>\n

The biggest story of 2006 was undoubtedly the staged liquid bomb
\nplot, which led to tighter restrictions on carrying fluids aboard
\nairliners and heralded a new wave of invasive technologies to be
\nimplemented in airports and eventually introduced on a day-to-day basis.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

Despite the fact that the alleged terrorists involved in the plot to
\nexplode multiple airliners were closely tracked for months beforehand,
\nadded to the fact that they didn\u2019t have flight tickets or even
\npassports, it was announced on August 10th that authorities had busted
\nthe plot amidst a wave of propaganda about continuing the war on
\nterror, similar to what we are hearing in the aftermath of the
\nChristmas Day bombing attempt.<\/p>\n

According to news reports the British government and MI5 wanted to wait at least a week before busting the liquid terror cell<\/a>
\nthat their agents had fully infiltrated, including planting a mole
\nwithin the bomb squad. From the acknowledged timeline and admission
\nthat the real attack was scheduled for August 16th \u2013 little else
\ncan be deduced but the shocking fact that MI5 wanted the bombings to go
\nforward \u2013 arresting the perpetrators only after the attack.<\/p>\n

A deluge of fearmongering and paranoia ensued, with ridiculous
\nmeasures hastily enforced in airports which remain with us to this day,
\nsuch as mothers being forced to drink their own bottled breast milk to
\nprove it is not an explosive liquid.<\/p>\n

2007 \u2013 Ron Paul Revolution, The Rise Of The Resistance<\/strong><\/p>\n

After years of endless war, economic decline and suppression of
\nbasic freedoms, 2007 saw a mobilization of resistance amid a clamor for
\nchange.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

With a presidential election looming, Congressman Ron Paul, a public
\nrepresentative with an immaculate record, emerged as an icon of
\ncounteraction against the growth of big government and the erosion of
\nliberty.<\/p>\n

Beginning as an underground phenomenon driven by grassroots
\nactivists, the Ron Paul Revolution soon became a mainstream talking
\npoint and the Congressman was propelled to the forefront of the debate
\nover America\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

Of course, big money and the monopoly of power eventually won out,
\nso the 2008 election saw a new new world order puppet installed in the
\nshape of Barack Obama.<\/p>\n

However, Ron Paul\u2019s incredible efforts throughout 2007 and
\n2008 during his presidential campaign provided a platform for the
\nrestoration of liberty and proved that the electoral process has not
\nbeen completely usurped by those who have shown they have no allegiance
\nto we the people.<\/p>\n

2008 \u2013 The Bailout Heist<\/strong><\/p>\n

In October 2008, the central banks that own the U.S. government set
\nthe course for the most egregious looting of the American public in
\nhistory with the passage of the TARP \u201cbailout\u201d legislation.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

The bailout merely increased the severity of the financial downturn
\nand allowed the same elite to exploit the crisis as a pretext for
\ncentralizing control of the world economic system and creating a new
\nworld order and a single global currency.<\/p>\n

Henry Paulson, one of the chief architects of the bailout and the man who committed financial terrorism by threatening the Congress with martial law and food riots<\/a> if they didn\u2019t pass the initial TARP package, brazenly pocketed $200 million in Goldman Sachs profits tax free <\/a>while
\nhanding out billions in ill-gotten gains to his bankster buddies, all
\nthis after he pulled a bait and switch by changing the entire focus of
\nthe bailout from buying up toxic debt to giving money directly to
\nfinancial institutions.<\/p>\n

Following the election of Barack Obama in November 2008, the new
\nPresident\u2019s actions made it abundantly clear that he would pick
\nup where the Bush administration left off, increasing the looting
\nexponentially to a figure well over $24 trillion by the latest estimates<\/a>, which don\u2019t even account for the last 6 months.<\/p>\n

2009 \u2013 Acceleration of World Government<\/strong><\/p>\n

2009 represents the year that the agenda for a world government was
\nboth openly announced and the acceleration of its implementation
\nreached breakneck speed as globalists exploited both the engineered
\nfinancial crisis and the contrived global warming scam to move to
\nfinalize total dictatorial control over the planet.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

In an October New York Times editorial entitled \u201cWe Can Do It,\u201d<\/a>
\nKi-moon wrote that efforts to impose restrictions on CO2 emissions
\n\u201cMust include an equitable global governance structure.\u201d<\/p>\n

New EU President Herman Van Rompuy said in a December press conference <\/a>that the Copenhagen conference was, \u201cThe first step towards the global management of our planet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Similarly, Al Gore said in a speech earlier this year<\/a> that attempts to regulate CO2 emissions would be driven through \u201cglobal governance and global agreements.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although it failed to ram through a large portion of the global government agenda, the Copenhagen agreement laid the foundation for the introduction of a global transaction tax<\/a>
\nwhich would be paid to the World Bank, representing a massive transfer
\nof wealth to the new world government now being primed for total
\ntakeover.<\/p>\n

Ten years ago, people who warned about a coming new world order
\nbossed by a global government were called paranoid conspiracy
\ntheorists. Is the march towards a one world government still a
\nconspiracy theory, even as its architects openly announce its
\nimplementation?<\/p>\n

The Decade of Freedom?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The battle between tyranny and freedom is a long term game of
\nbrinkmanship, however, as we move into 2010, we are reaching a crucial
\ntime in modern history. Humanity must decide whether to engage in a
\nbattle for freedom or accept a future under the rule of tyranny.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
