The record currently stands at 137mph, which will be challenged by the wind-powered electric vehicle.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The car has been designed by Formula 1 engineers at the cost of about \u00a3400,000. During tests, the car hit a speed of 60mph in less than 4 seconds and has an operating range of about 150mph.
