Times Square on New Years Eve 2010 comes after an entire day of celebration around the world. This is really one of the last parties of the year, since 2010 has begun almost everywhere else. Once Samoa hits midnight at 6 am est, 2009 will officially cease to exist. By then, the ball will be dropped and ready to be put away for another year, then the massive Times Square cleanup will begin.
\nThe “Countdown To 2010″ special included coverage from “First Night” drug and alcohol free party at the Buffalo Convention Center, The Buffalo Ball Drop, and the Ball Drop from Times Square from “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve.”
\nEvery year up to one million people gather in Times Square to watch the Ball drop, and an estimated 1 billion watch video of the event, 100 million of them in the United States.<\/p>\n

Several networks have aired coverage of the Times Square Ball Drop; as the event is held in the public square there is no rights or exclusive coverage. Most notable is ABC\u2019s Dick Clark\u2019s New Year\u2019s Rockin\u2019 Eve with Ryan Seacrest.<\/p>\n
