Cuba\u2019s high priests of the Afro-American Santeria
\nreligion announced a vision of massive social upheaval and internal
\nconflict in 2010.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can reach all we aspire to, but we can also
\ndestroy it all. The possibilities in 2010 are greater than last
\nyear\u2019s. It all rests in our hands,\u201d Lazaro Cuesta,
\nbabalawo, a Santeria priest, said.<\/p>\n

The country\u2019s leading 1,000 babalawos predicted global
\nturmoil, including \u201ccoup d\u2019etats,\u201d \u201csudden
\nchanges in political systems,\u201d \u201cbetrayal and
\nusurpation\u201d among top government officials, as well as falling
\nfarm and livestock production, and the \u201cbreakup of
\nagreements\u2026 wars and military interventions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sincere dialogue should open so that respect for \u201cthe
\ndecisions of the majority and the opinion of the minorities,\u201d and
\n\u201cnew reforms\u201d in the political, economic and social orders
\ncould forestall disaster.<\/p>\n
