Dot Hill Systems (NASDAQ: HILL<\/a>), which provides data storage equipment, says today<\/a> it is buying Woodbury, NY-based Cloverleaf Communications, a privately held software developer. Dot Hill says the deal, which calls for issuing about $9.5 million in Dot Hill shares and $2.5 million in cash, will significantly broaden its capabilities in virtual data storage, data management services software and unified storage markets. The transaction is expected to close by mid-January.<\/p>\n
