According to Tata Motors’ CEO, Ratan Tata, the company still considering selling its ultra-cheap Nano minicar in the United States within three years.<\/p>\n

“We also recognize there is a market (for the Nano) not\u00a0only in developing countries, but possibly in the developed countries,” Tata said at the New Delhi auto show. “For the United States we need a car which has a larger engine and we need additional crash test modifications and we are in the process of doing it.”<\/p>\n

The Tata Nano is also being considered for possible sales Europe by the end of 2011.<\/p>\n

Tata has previously said that it is also considering a hybrid version and that it may team up with Fiat to sell the minicar in Latin America.<\/p>\n
