Here are the gloomiest:<\/p>\n<p>Former IMF chief <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/henry-blodget-simon-johnson-decries-influence-of-wall-street-oligarchs-us-a-banana-republic-2009-4\">economist Simon Johnson<\/a> warns:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;We&#8217;re running out of time &#8230; to prevent a true depression.&#8221; He says unless we break Wall Street&#8217;s &#8220;stranglehold&#8221; we will be unable prevent the Great Depression 2.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Morgan Stanley research guru turned hedge fund manager Barton Biggs (pictured), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/barton-biggs-sp-should-go-to-1200-2009-8\">who called the market rally<\/a>, advises that you buy a farm a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gurufocus.com\/news.php?id=79027\">good distance away from a city<\/a> and, he advises, make sure that your doomsday safe-haven:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be self-sufficient and capable of growing some kind of food <\/li>\n<li>Be well-stocked with seed, fertilizer, canned food, wine, medicine, clothes, etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And get a gun, he says, because &#8220;a few rounds over the approaching brigands&#8217; heads would probably be a compelling persuader that there are easier farms to pillage.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/2008\/10\/marc-faber-spreads-more-gloom-and-doom&amp;ei=zZtES7zVItW3lAep_aShBw&amp;sa=X&amp;oi=nshc&amp;resnum=1&amp;ct=result&amp;cd=2&amp;ved=0CAwQzgQoAQ&amp;usg=AFQjCNEUhiZHCVS6B0xyqO_hnU7mlA_Pyg\">Mark &#8220;Gloom Boom Doom&#8221; Faber<\/a> also recommends buying farmland.
