Solar cell manufacturer SpectraWatt, a spinoff from Intel formerly based in Hillsboro, OR, has raised $12 million in equity, debt, and options (out of a $41.4 million offering), according to a regulatory filing<\/a>. The investors were not disclosed. Last spring, SpectraWatt announced<\/a> it was moving its headquarters to upstate New York, citing “green business incentives.” The company has since set up offices and manufacturing facilities in Hopewell Junction, NY. Back in June 2008, Intel Capital led an initial $50 million investment in SpectraWatt<\/a>, and was joined by Cogentrix Energy, PCG Clean Energy and Technology Fund, and Solon AG.<\/p>\n
