\"Dell<\/a>After months of speculation<\/a>, finally today at CES, No. 2 PC-maker Dell confirmed it\u2019s launching an Android handset for the U.S. The not-so-surprising news is that the carrier behind this launch is the iPhone\u2019s own home network: AT&T.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

There are no details about hardware specifications, price or availability, but from previous rumors we’re expecting\u00a0it to feature a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display, with a resolution of 640\u00d7360 and a 3 megapixel camera. We’ll keep you posted as details become available.<\/p>\n

Dell is not a new comer to the handheld market and this is technically not their first Android offer either.\u00a0 This smartphone will be a revised version of the Dell Mini 3i <\/a>that\u2019s being sold in China and Brazil.\u00a0They are also highly regarded in the industry by their very successful line of PDAs back in the early 2000\u2019s the Axims.\u00a0 A little, yet ironic fact is that those were manufactured by the then unknown HTC, marketed under the Dell brand.<\/p>\n
