That\u2019s the suggestion from <strong>The New York Post\u2019s Josh Kosman<\/strong>, who <a href=\"http:\/\/everythingwarrenbuffett.blogspot.com\/2010\/01\/new-york-post-buffetts-mars-bar.html\">this morning writes<\/a> that the move by his <strong>Berkshire Hathaway <\/strong>(<a href=\"http:\/\/online.barrons.com\/quotes\/main.html?name=&amp;symbol=BRKA\">BRKA<\/a>) on Monday to stop <strong>Kraft<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/online.barrons.com\/quotes\/main.html?name=&amp;symbol=KFT\">KFT<\/a>) from <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.barrons.com\/stockstowatchtoday\/2010\/01\/05\/morning-movers-berkshire-votes-no-on-kraft-cadbury-bid-brokers-outlook-cut\/\">issuing new shares<\/a> in its bid for <strong>Cadbury PLC<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/online.barrons.com\/quotes\/main.html?name=&amp;symbol=CBY\">CBY<\/a>) seems foul. The move may have been designed to protect Buffett\u2019s holdings in privately held Mars, another candy maker, according to \u201csources familiar,\u201d Kosman writes.<\/p>\n<p>Buffett loaned Mars $4.4 billion in 2008 for the company to purchase Wrigley, and lent a further $2 billion following that, Kosman notes.<\/p>\n<p>The article doesn\u2019t actually say anyone from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission is looking into the matter, it merely quotes anti-trust lawyers who see a risk of that happening.<\/p>\n<p>In any case, Berkshire\u2019s \u201cA\u201d shares this morning are off by $118, a fraction of a percent, at $99,731. Kraft shares are down 4 cents at $28.93, and Cadbury is down 25 cents, half a percent, at $49.52, after <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.barrons.com\/stockstowatchtoday\/2010\/01\/06\/wsj-cadbury-urging-hershey-to-rival-krafts-bid\/\">last night\u2019s Wall Street Journal story<\/a> saying Cadbury\u2019s board has been talking with Hershey (HSY) as a \u201cWhite Knight\u201d to make a rival bid to push out Kraft.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"comments\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Share Investor Links<\/span><\/a><a name=\"comments\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shareinvestorblog.com\/\">Share Investor Blog<\/a> &#8211;
