\"plasticPlastic Logic<\/a> finally launched its Que eBook reader for business people today at the Consumer Electronics Show<\/a>, after a ten year development cycle. The company took a long time because it had to do pioneering work in the creation of plastic transistors, or electronics which use plastic instead of silicon chips as their base substrate.<\/p>\n

The company launched its business at DEMO in the fall of 2008<\/a>, but it ran into some delays. Still, now the company has a polished plan. It has powerful allies in AT&T, which provides wireless networking for book downloads, and Barnes & Noble, which has more than a million ebooks available for download from its store. We caught up with Richard Archuleta today at the company’s booth at the Consumer Electronics Show. The device will ship in April with two different versions. A $649 Que will include 4 gigabytes of memory but won’t have 3G wireless. A $799 version will have eight gigabytes of memory and will have 3G wireless. Here’s our video.<\/p>\n
