Like other anti-Obama teapartiers who mumble incoherently about believing in the constitution, while they remained silent when Bush\/Cheney trampled upon it and spit on it, Stevens says he believes in freedom and the constitution:<\/p>\n

Well the \u201cawake\u201d Stevens decided to produce an anti-health care reform song, called \u201cWe the People,\u201d that apparently is becoming a tea party anthem, according to CNSNews.<\/p>\n
Stevens believes that President Obama wants to control us with health care reform and climate change legislation:<\/p>\n
\u201cAnybody with half a brain can figure out this is about control. So is cap-and-trade or this so-called \u2018green\u2019 crap that they\u2019re talking about,\u201d he told CNSNews.com. \u201cIt\u2019s not about climate change. It\u2019s not about health-care. It\u2019s about control. They want control, and I don\u2019t want to give it to them.\u201d<\/p>\n
Stevens figures we are doing just fine with nearly 50,000 people dying every year from lack of health insurance:<\/p>\n
\u201cTo me, it\u2019s pretty obvious that the government is doing a bunch of crap that we don\u2019t need and we don\u2019t want, and they don\u2019t care what we want \u2013 they\u2019re going to do it anyway. \nAnd so it is that Ray Stevens has released a new song taking on Healthcare Rationing and the Utopia the \u201cGang of 60 Jokers\u201d is ramming through the Senate before Christmas. We thought Stevens, who used to sell records on late night TV, had been dead for years\u2026so happy to see he\u2019s not, and that he\u2019s still got a way with driving home a point through catchy song and on-point cross-dressing.
\nIn Stevens\u2019 song he sings about voting politicians out of office who vote for \u201cObamaCare,\u201d as he changes from a revolutionary patriot, a construction worker and a rural backwoodsman:<\/p>\n
\u201cYou vote Obamacare, we\u2019re going to vote you out of there. We the People have awakened to your tricks. You vote to let this pass, you\u2019re going to be out on your (sound of foghorn).\u201d<\/p>\n
