The Jay Leno Show<\/i> is over<\/a>. NBC couldn’t make good TV. So it tried to give up on making good TV. It couldn’t even do that well. So now it’s giving up on giving up on making good TV, which is better. But here’s what I find so ironic. When the show was introduced in September, I wrote this<\/a>: <\/p>\n

NBC has screwed its own reputation handily in the past few years. Knight Rider<\/i>? Lipstick Jungle<\/i>? My Own Worst Enemy<\/i>? These were powerfully horrible shows, and perhaps creative teams responsible for one
\nhundred days of Kath & Kim<\/i> do not deserve a second opportunity on
\nearth.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Jay Leno Show premiered on September 14, 2009. NBC has decided to axe it after four months. Kath & Kim<\/i> lasted five months. Knight Rider<\/i> lasted six months. Lipstick Jungle<\/i> lasted thirteen months. I guess the future of television<\/a> is: Fail faster.
