\"samsung-moment-dtv\"<\/a>In the style of the best\u00a0Russian\u00a0hackers, Samsung Mobile basically modded<\/a> its own “Moment” handset and inserted a\u00a0mobile\u00a0DTV<\/a> chip into it along with some\u00a0circuitry and an Android app to\u00a0control\u00a0it.\u00a0 The resulting concoction is being served at CES with mixed reviews.<\/span><\/p>\n

The news was broken by Samsung Mobile US on their twitter <\/a>account accompanied by a\u00a0press release<\/a> and quickly followed by a\u00a0hands-on video<\/a> from Engadget.<\/p>\n

[Samsung] Moment was selected because of its 3.2-inch AMOLED display screen, which delivers crisp colors, bright pictures outdoors, and wide viewing angles.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Unfortunately no launch details for a Mobile DTV version of the Android handset have been announced, but Samsung did confirmed that is rolling a “Consumer Showcase ” of the device, involving Sprint customers in the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore markets during the first quarter of 2010.<\/p>\n
