{"id":155211,"date":"2010-01-08T16:51:08","date_gmt":"2010-01-08T21:51:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.popcrunch.com\/?p=88017"},"modified":"2010-01-08T16:51:08","modified_gmt":"2010-01-08T21:51:08","slug":"white-house-obama-state-of-the-union-address-won%e2%80%99t-bump-%e2%80%9clost%e2%80%9d-premiere","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/155211","title":{"rendered":"White House: Obama State Of The Union Address Won\u2019t Bump \u201cLost\u201d Premiere"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Lost<\/em> fans can breathe a sigh of relief: President Obama has opted not to give his State of the Union speech on Feb. 2  &#8212; which is ironically the same night ABC has scheduled the premiere of the show&#8217;s sixth and final season. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.popcrunch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/lost-logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"lost-logo\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-53742\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I don&#8217;t foresee a scenario in which millions of people that hope to finally get some conclusion in Lost are pre-empted by the president,&#8221;<\/em> White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told The Associated Press at press briefing this afternoon. <em>&#8220;I assume it&#8217;s a big deal at ABC.&#8221; <\/em><\/p>\n<p>The network has set aside a three-hour block to show the first episode of the wildly popular show&#8217;s last season. Frantic <em>Lost<\/em> fans launched a Twitter campaign protesting a possible Feb. 2 State of the Union after reports surfaced earlier this week suggesting the Lost premiere would be preempted for the program.
