KFC Commercial Yanked In Australia Amid Allegations Of Racism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An Australian ad for fast food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken &#8212; that depicted a crowd of rowdy Blacks being calmed by a bucket of the Colonel&#8217;s chicken &#8212; has been pulled from the airwaves amid allegations of racism. <\/p>\n<p><object width=\"500\" height=\"330\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/5zcWQftvQpQ&#038;color1=0xb1b1b1&#038;color2=0xcfcfcf&#038;hl=en_US&#038;feature=player_embedded&#038;fs=1\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowScriptAccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/5zcWQftvQpQ&#038;color1=0xb1b1b1&#038;color2=0xcfcfcf&#038;hl=en_US&#038;feature=player_embedded&#038;fs=1\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allowScriptAccess=\"always\" width=\"500\" height=\"330\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>The ad opens with a distressed White man surrounded by a crowd of Black people at a cricket match. <em> &#8220;Need a tip when you&#8217;re stuck in an awkward situation?&#8221;<\/em> he wonders. He deals with said &#8220;awkward situation&#8221; by placating the group a bucket of fried chicken.        <\/p>\n<p>After criticism of the ad reached KFC Australia, the company issued a statement explaining its concept and announcing its removal, stating: <em>&#8220;We apologize for any misinterpretation of the ad as it was not meant to offend anyone.
