(Hat tip: <a href=\"http:\/\/earth2tech.com\/2010\/01\/10\/esolar-wins-massive-solar-thermal-deal-in-china\/\">earth2tech<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>The project will be China\u2019s largest concentrated solar power (CSP) installation, with installation of the first 92 megawatts slated for 2010.<span id=\"more-5481\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The eSolar project should be complete by 2021 and will be co-located with biomass electricity generation facilities, according to the release. It will be located in the 170-square-kilometer Yulin Alterrnative Energy Park and owned by China Shaanxi Yulin Huayang New Energy Co.<\/p>\n<p>eSolar\u2019s technology uses mirrors to direct sunlight and turn liquid to steam, which drives turbines.<\/p>\n<p>China is a leader in photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing but has not done much in the CSP arena until now, the release notes.<\/p>\n<p>The Google-backed company has been going gangbusters in recent months, providing the technology for NRG Energy\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/greenenergyreporter.com\/2009\/06\/nrg-inks-its-second-this-month-long-term-ppa-for-output-of-large-california-solar-project\/\">Alpine SunTower<\/a> near Los Angeles, among <a href=\"http:\/\/greenenergyreporter.com\/2009\/06\/details-emerge-on-nrg-energyesolar-ppa\/\">several other deals<\/a>.
