‘Allegations that a 62-year-old Iraqi
\ngrandmother was tortured and executed by British soldiers after her
\nfamily home was raided three years ago are being investigated by the
\nRoyal Military Police. <\/font>The Army’s
\ninvolvement in the death and abuse of Sabiha Khudur Talib is one of the
\nmost serious charges to be made against Britain during its six-year
\noccupation of southern Iraq<\/a>.<\/font><\/p>\n

UK<\/a> government<\/a> ministers are to be given
\npreviously unseen police reports from a Basra crime unit which conclude
\nthat Mrs Talib’s body was dumped on a roadside in a British body bag in
\nNovember 2006. <\/font>There was a bullet hole in her abdomen and her face had injuries consistent with torture, police reported.’<\/font><\/p>\n
