Stun gun maker Taser wants to help parents, not with jolts of
\nelectricity but with a tool which allows parents to effectively take
\nover a child\u2019s mobile phone and manage its use.<\/p>\n

\u201cBasically we\u2019re taking old fashioned parenting and
\nbringing it into the mobile world,\u201d Taser chairman and co-founder
\nTom Smith said at the Consumer Electronics Show here, where the Arizona
\ncompany unveiled the new product.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause when you give your child his mobile phone you
\ndon\u2019t know who they\u2019re talking to, what they\u2019re
\nsending or texting, all of those things,\u201d Smith told AFP.<\/p>\n

The phone application, called \u201cMobile Protector,\u201d allows
\na parent to screen a child\u2019s incoming and outgoing calls and
\nmessages, block particular numbers and even listen in on a conversation.<\/p>\n
