‘Venezuela has scrambled two F-16
\nfighter jets to ward off a US<\/a> ‘military plane’ amid reports of
\n\u201cUS<\/a> trespassing the country’s airspace.\u201d <\/font>President
\nHugo Chavez has ordered the fighters to confront a US<\/a> P-3 maritime
\npatrol aircraft that had purportedly violated Venezuela’s airspace,
\nReuters quoted the Venezuelan president as saying on Friday. <\/font><\/p>\n

“They are provoking us<\/a> … these are
\nwarplanes,” Chavez noted, showing a picture of the plane, which he
\nsaid, had taken off from US<\/a> military bases on the Netherlands’
\nCaribbean islands and from neighboring Colombia on two separate
\noccasions.’<\/font><\/p>\n
