Please be gentle as  my stress level is on overload lately!:) <\/p>\n<p>I am trying to figure out what is going on with my body.  Right now I have my Primary Care DOctor and Endo stumped and we are not sure where to go next.<\/p>\n<p>Since last June I have lost almost 40 pounds.  My A1C has dropped dramatically but still needs to be lower.  Doctor says I am type 2for diagnosis purpose but that this does not act like type 2. I personally dont care what type it is I just want to get it under control to the best of my abilities.<\/p>\n<p>Diet wise I typically eat between 15 and 40 carbs in a meal. I am VERY VERY active.  Right now I am taking 8 units of Levimir in pm and 5 units in am. Also use Novolog as a correction IF I am above 170.<\/p>\n<p>I was in the hospital for 2 weeks with divirticulitis in November and my home was robbed in December and lots and lots of major stress with work and family.<\/p>\n<p>Mid December I started having BAD hypos.  Lowest was 15 and a glucogen pen was used.  Others not quite that bad but still enough to scare the heck out of me and others.  The thing with these lows is that I can get them up and then they drop again. It usually happens 3 times in a row.  Literally within hours of each other.  I can push up to 120 carbs and it will still drop.  Then there is the oposite&#8230;&#8230;..for NO REASON it will go up.  Yesterday from 2 till 9 I was above 300 and below 60 3 times each.  I feel like a freight train ran over me.  In other words sometimes the insulin is not enough and other times it is to much.<\/p>\n<p>I test my BG levels about 6 to 8 times a day&#8230;.when stable and ALOT more when not.  I keep detailed records of what i eat, when , exercise, etc. but the only real pattern is that when I do this rapid drop thing&#8230;.it generally happens 3 times in a row.<\/p>\n<p>I have learned more about this disease than I ever wanted to know but I cant seem to figure this out.  Dr is suggesting a pump BUT my insurance is balking.  I am not sure how much to fight for it if it isnt going to help anyhow.<\/p>\n<p>Sigh!!!!!!!
