Eaten in moderation I haven&#8217;t had a problem with spikes and more oddly I have watched as I handle higher carb foods MUCH better than I ever did. <br \/>\nThis morning I had a mixture of white rice, red kidney beans, chicken and some sour cream. Normally, white rice destroys my BG counts, I have a soft spot for it though so I gave in. Worse it was the morning so I was waiting for the read of 200+ on my meter after being around 90 +\/- 4 at that time in the morning and I was within my normal limits.
