The kinetic energy charger can be clipped onto a belt and convert motion energy into electricity.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The device comes packed in a clear fiberglass box and features a dynamo and magnet built into a coil. The system produces induction current, which is then stored in a built-in battery before being transferred to the cellphone. The developers hope that the prototype can be used by the military to charge their communication devices on the move. <\/p>\n<p>Kinetic chargers can harvest body movement to generate up to 150W of power, which can run a computer or power about 70 smartphones.
