{"id":192612,"date":"2010-01-18T00:37:37","date_gmt":"2010-01-18T05:37:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.diabetesforums.com\/forum\/chit-chat\/47719-one-month-after-xmas.html"},"modified":"2010-01-18T00:37:37","modified_gmt":"2010-01-18T05:37:37","slug":"one-month-after-xmas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/192612","title":{"rendered":"One Month After Xmas&#8230;.."},"content":{"rendered":"<div>&#8216;Twas the month after Christmas,<br \/>\n                  and all through the house,<br \/>\n                  Nothing would fit me,<br \/>\n                  not even a blouse.<\/p>\n<p>                  The cookies I&#8217;d nibbled,<br \/>\n                  the chocolate I&#8217;d taste<br \/>\n                   and  the holiday parties<br \/>\n                  had gone to my waist.<\/p>\n<p>                  When I got on the scales<br \/>\n                  there arose such a number!<br \/>\n                  When I walked to the store<br \/>\n                  (less a walk than a lumber),<\/p>\n<p>                  I&#8217;d remember the marvellous meals I&#8217;d prepared;<br \/>\n                  The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,<br \/>\n           The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese<br \/>\n               And the way I&#8217;d never said, &quot;No thank you, please.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>                  As I dressed myself in my husband&#8217;s old shirt<br \/>\n                  And prepared once again to do battle with dirt&#8230;<br \/>\n                  I said to myself, as I only can,<br \/>\n                  &quot;You can&#8217;t spend a winter, disguised as a man!&quot;<\/p>\n<p>                  So, away with the last of the sour cream dip.<br \/>\n                  Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip.<br \/>\n                  Every last bit of food that I like must be banished<br \/>\n                  Till all the additional ounces have vanished.<\/p>\n<p>                  I won&#8217;t have a cookie, not even a lick.<br \/>\n                  I&#8217;ll want only to chew on a long celery stick.<br \/>\n                  I won&#8217;t have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie.<br \/>\n                  I&#8217;ll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.<\/p>\n<p>                  I&#8217;m hungry, I&#8217;m lonesome, and life is a bore&#8230;<br \/>\n                  But isn&#8217;t that what January is for?<br \/>\n                  Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.<br \/>\n                  Happy New Year to all, and to all a good diet.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8216;Twas the month after Christmas, and all through the house, Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.
