{"id":201724,"date":"2010-01-19T17:28:00","date_gmt":"2010-01-19T22:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/sirius-xm-just-crushed-it-2010-1"},"modified":"2010-01-19T17:28:00","modified_gmt":"2010-01-19T22:28:00","slug":"sirius-xm-just-crushed-it-siri","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/201724","title":{"rendered":"Sirius XM Just Crushed It (SIRI)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"float_right\" src=\"http:\/\/static.businessinsider.com\/image\/c5b9b91463384e49c780e900\/melkarmazinap122108.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"melkarmazinap122108\" \/><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Sirius XM <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/SIRIUS-XM-Adds-257000-Net-prnews-1442463114.html?x=0&amp;.v=1\">just said<\/a> it had an awesome Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>The company says it signed up 257,000 net new subscribers during Q4, its highest quarterly growth since Q3 2008.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s much higher than what Wall Street was expecting: JPMorgan was expecting 120,000 net sub additions and RBC was expecting 49,000.<\/p>\n<p>Shares are up 6% in after-hours trading.<\/p>\n<p>The company also expects to report more than $100 million of free cash flow for 2009, &#8220;an extraordinary improvement over the pro forma negative free cash flow of $552 million that the company experienced in 2008,&#8221; CEO Mel Karmazin said in a canned statement.<\/p>\n<p>Sirius XM now has 18.8 million subscribers.
