According to show organizers, the Detroit auto show experienced more than 21,000 more attendees on Monday than last year on the same day. 61,112 people attended this past Monday, as opposed to 39,715 for last year’s Monday exhibition.<\/p>\n
Numbers for the weekend attendance, though up from last year, were not as staggering, with Saturday attendance rising from 74,613 in 2009 to 83,715 this year, and 90,608 attendees on Sunday last year, to 96,623 this year.<\/p>\n
NAIAS chairman Doug Fox said in a statement that organizers could not be more pleased with this year\u2019s turnout.<\/p>\n
