Either that, or the Dems will have to thread the legislative needle even as opposition to the bill is <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.wsj.com\/washwire\/2010\/01\/19\/wsjnbc-news-poll-46-say-health-overhaul-is-a-bad-idea\/\" >running high<\/a>. That&#8217;s the gist of this morning&#8217;s Washington coverage (e.g. <a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB10001424052748704561004575013550592114376.html\" >WSJ<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2010\/01\/19\/AR2010011904426.html\" >Washington Post<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2010\/01\/19\/health\/policy\/19health.html\" >New York Times<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/stories\/0110\/31693.html\" >Politico<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The key points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB10001424052748703837004575012721465325974.html\" >Scott Brown&#8217;s win<\/a> in Massachusetts means the Dems no longer have a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. That means Republicans could (and almost certainly would) block any wholesale changes to the Senate health-care bill.\n<\/li>\n<li>The House could pass the same version of the <a href=\"http:\/\/democrats.senate.gov\/reform\/patient-protection-affordable-care-act-as-passed.pdf\" >health-care bill<\/a> that already passed the Senate, and send it to the President&#8217;s desk. Some further tweaks to the health-care overhaul could be made under a process known as reconciliation, which requires only a simple majority in the Senate.\n<\/li>\n<li>Or House Dems could balk, both because they don&#8217;t like some of the provisions in the Senate bill, and because of popular opposition to the health-care overhaul. Rep.
