{"id":207621,"date":"2010-01-21T08:29:38","date_gmt":"2010-01-21T13:29:38","guid":{"rendered":"tag:www.vegan-food.net:\/\/59b280c8318b33230c2bb4f240d18383"},"modified":"2010-01-21T08:29:38","modified_gmt":"2010-01-21T13:29:38","slug":"creamy-tomato-millet-with-fresh-herbs-soup-cream","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/207621","title":{"rendered":"Creamy Tomato Millet with Fresh Herbs( Soup &#8211; Cream )"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Daily Random Recipe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 1\/2 cups filtered water<\/li>\n<li>1 cup millet, rinsed and drained<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons sea salt, divided<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup extra virgin olive oil<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cube vegetable bouillon<\/li>\n<li>2 pounds diced and seeded ripe plum tomatoes (about 14 tomatoes)<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup plain soy milk or fresh nut milk<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons fresh basil, finely sliced<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, minced<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon fresh sage, minced<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon fresh flat leaf parsley &#8211; garnish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p \/><strong>METHOD:<\/strong><br \/>Bring the water to a boil in a medium pot and add the millet and sea salt. Cover, lower heat to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes, until water is completely absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.<\/p>\n<p \/>\nPlace a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Add the bouillon cube and stir with a wooden spoon until the cube has completely dissolved, about 1 minute.<\/p>\n<p \/>\nAdd the tomatoes, and season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring often, for 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<p \/>\nPour in the soy milk and cook, stirring frequently, until the liquid has reduced by half, about 15 minutes. Remove the skillet from the heat and set aside.<\/p>\n<p \/>\nWhen the millet is cooked, toss it with the sauce and basil, rosemary, sage and parsley.
