{"id":207989,"date":"2010-01-21T09:46:22","date_gmt":"2010-01-21T14:46:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chicagopressrelease.com\/?p=11916"},"modified":"2010-01-21T09:46:22","modified_gmt":"2010-01-21T14:46:22","slug":"nbc-conan-o%e2%80%99brien-reaches-45-million-exit-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/207989","title":{"rendered":"NBC: Conan O\u2019Brien reaches $45 million exit deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-11938\" title=\"conan-obrien-nbc\" src=\"http:\/\/chicagopressrelease.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/conan-obrien-nbc-244x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"244\" height=\"300\" \/>NEW YORK (AP) &#8212; NBC said Thursday it has reached a $45 million deal with Conan O&#8217;Brien for his exit from the &#8220;Tonight&#8221; show, allowing Jay Leno to return to the late-night program he hosted for 17 years.<\/p>\n<p>Under the deal, which came seven months after O&#8217;Brien took the reins from Leno, O&#8217;Brien will get more than $33 million, NBC said.<\/p>\n<p>The rest will go to his staff in severance, the network said in an announcement on the &#8220;Today&#8221; show.<\/p>\n<p>His final show will be Friday, and Leno will return to &#8220;Tonight&#8221; on March 1.<\/p>\n<p>O&#8217;Brien will be free to begin another TV job as soon as September, NBC said. <span id=\"more-11916\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>O&#8217;Brien landed the &#8220;Tonight&#8221; show after successfully hosting &#8220;Late Night,&#8221; which airs an hour later, since 1993.
