The minimally invasive project has been designed to go with the flow of river tides. Spanning over 3500 hectares, the wetland is home to over 25 types of threatened species.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2010\/01\/22\/visitor-center_2_MuzP4_69.jpg\" alt=\"visitor center_2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Inspired by the outflows and inflows of the wetland\u2019s tides, the sustainable visitor center will be covered with a green roof to prevent storm water runoff and provide natural cooling. The project makes use of several systems to preserve energy. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2010\/01\/22\/visitor-center_3_Yihrq_69.jpg\" alt=\"visitor center_3\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The project has been oriented to allow maximum exposure to daylight to reduce the energy required for artificial illumination.
