According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wired.com\/autopia\/2010\/01\/chevrolet-volt-4\/\">reports<\/a>, the concept car will see limited production later this year and will begin extended field tests early next year. The program seems similar to the limited, BMW-owned Mini-E electric car trials, where around 450 customers leased the vehicle for $850 per month.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The zero-emission vehicle is based on the BMW 1 Series coupe and is powered by a 125KW motor that churns out 170hp and 184 lb-ft of torque.
