‘The state of Oregon should have its own
\nbank so taxpayer dollars could help fund local businesses instead of
\nboosting the profits of big multinational banks, says Bill Bradbury,
\nDemocratic candidate for governor and former secretary of state.<\/font><\/p>\n

Bradbury announced his proposal today in
\nPortland as part of his plan to find jobs for more Oregonians. The
\nstate bank, modeled on one in North Dakota, would form the cornerstone
\nof his jobs proposal, he said.<\/font><\/p>\n

“It’s time to declare economic sovereignty from the multinational banks,” Bradbury said.’<\/font><\/p>\n
