I failed my one-hour GTT by two points last week, and was borderline on the 3-hour on Wednesday. I&#8217;m at 25 weeks. <\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t get an appointment with the dietician until next week, but I wanted to kind of get a ballpark start for the time being. I&#8217;m pretty positive about this, as my diet already seemed to follow most of the GD dietary guidelines I&#8217;ve looked at, some more than others (I eat healthy small meals through the day, I&#8217;m not real big on sugar\/white carbs, and my proteins are all generally high quality\/low fat); just needed a few modifications to morning protein\/carb balance. And I think my case will be pretty easily controlled with diet and exercise, since, as I said, my results have all been very close fails. <\/p>\n<p>So I know my mileage may vary, but something is better than nothing at the moment &#8212; does this look about right to anyone?<\/p>\n<p><b>Breakfast:<\/b><br \/>\n1 slice whole grain toast<br \/>\n1\/2 T unsalted butter<br \/>\n1 hard-boiled egg<br \/>\n1 cup 1% milk<\/p>\n<p><i>Walk 1.4 miles to school and back<br \/>\n<\/i><br \/>\n<b>Snack:<\/b><br \/>\n1 c plain lowfat yogurt<br \/>\n2 T chopped unsalted pecans<\/p>\n<p><b>Lunch:<\/b><br \/>\n6.5 oz low sodium vegetable juice<br \/>\n1 whole wheat tortilla<br \/>\n1\/4 c water-packed tuna<br \/>\n1 T mayo with olive oil<br \/>\n1\/2 c spinach leaves<br \/>\n1 clementine<\/p>\n<p><i>Walk 1.4 miles to school and back<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Snack:<\/b><br \/>\n1 medium banana<br \/>\n1 T unsalted\/unsweetened raw almond butter<\/p>\n<p><b>Dinner:<\/b><br \/>\n1\/2 c baked chicken breast<br \/>\n1 c brown rice<br \/>\n1 T unsalted butter<br \/>\n1\/2 c raw cucumber<br \/>\n1\/2 c raw carrot<br \/>\n1 c lowfat milk<br \/>\n1\/2 c unsweetened frozen strawberries<br \/>\n<i><br \/>\nWalk .5 miles<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Late snack:<\/b><br \/>\n1 oz stone-ground crackers<br \/>\n1 T plain (homemade, low-sodium) hummus<\/p>\n<p>\nThank you so much in advance for your replies.
