{"id":213405,"date":"2010-01-22T15:42:16","date_gmt":"2010-01-22T20:42:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chicagopressrelease.com\/?p=12601"},"modified":"2010-01-22T15:42:16","modified_gmt":"2010-01-22T20:42:16","slug":"sean-salisbury-admits-to-cell-phone-incident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/213405","title":{"rendered":"Sean Salisbury admits to cell-phone incident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chicagobreakingsports.com\/seansalisbury.JPG\" alt=\"seansalisbury.JPG\" width=\"145\" height=\"231\" align=\"right\" \/><strong>USA Today reports:<\/strong> Former ESPN football analyst and NFL quarterback Sean Salisbury has fessed up to what has become an Internet legend: that he took a cell-phone picture of his private parts in a bar and showed it to a female co-worker.<\/p>\n<p>Salisbury was suspended by ESPN for the 2006 incident and fired two years later, but had previously denied doing it in an interview with <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/deadspin.com\/5036948\/sean-salisbury-has-a-lot-on-his-mind\" >Deadspin.com<\/a>. <span id=\"more-12601\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Now he opens up to <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/sports\/columnist\/hiestand-tv\/2010-01-21-sean-salisbury_N.htm\" >USA Today&#8217;s Michael Hiestand<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I was ashamed, and I didn&#8217;t want to say anything,&#8221; Salisbury told the paper.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I thought it would go away and let my ego get in the way. Since then, I&#8217;ve beat myself up about it more than 10 baseball bats could. A stupid mistake can cost you, and this has really cost me.
