The man told him to stop staring at his girlfriend. The woman stole his iPod and stabbed him, the victim said in a telephone interview while recuperating at a hospital.<\/p>\n
Authorities are now investigating the incident. No one has been arrested in connection with the incident.<\/p>\n
Authorities were called to the 55th Street Red Line “L” stop about 10:40 a.m.\u00a0following emergency calls about a man who had been stabbed in the back, police news affairs and CTA officials said.<\/p>\n
A customer notified\u00a0a train operator\u00a0via the train’s passenger intercom system that a customer onboard the train had been injured, said Catherine Hosinski, a CTA spokeswoman.<\/p>\n
The victim would not go into any other details but said he was feeling OK, resting at Stroger Hospital.<\/p>\n
The operator notified the CTA’s control center, which notified the Fire Department, Hosinski said.<\/p>\n
Wentworth Area detectives were investigating, Police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.<\/p>\n
The train was delayed about eight minutes, Hosinski said.<\/p>\n
