‘A Federal judge has
\ndismissed a complaint against the National Security Agency’s (NSA)
\nBush-era warrantless wiretapping programme, prompting suggestions the
\nUS<\/a> government<\/a> is now able to mount mass surveillance operations
\nunhindered by the courts or constitution.<\/p>\n

Five AT&T customers sued the NSA after it emerged it had persuaded
\nthe telco to provide a wiretap in a major internet<\/a> traffic exchange in
\nSan Francisco. The five claimed the programme, revealed by an AT&T
\nwhistleblower, had violated privacy laws.’<\/font><\/p>\n
