‘Percy Schmeiser is a
\nfarmer from Saskatchewan Canada<\/a>, whose Canola fields were contaminated
\nwith Monsanto’s genetically engineered Round-Up Ready Canola by pollen
\nfrom a nearby farm. Monsanto says it doesn’t matter how the
\ncontamination took place, and is therefore demanding Schmeiser pay
\ntheir Technology Fee (the fee farmers must pay to grow Monsanto’s
\ngenetically engineered products). According to Schmeiser, “I never had
\nanything to do with Monsanto, outside of buying chemicals. I never
\nsigned a contract. <\/font><\/p>\n

If I would go to St.
\nLouis (Monsanto Headquarters) and contaminate their plots – destroy
\nwhat they have worked on for 40 years – I think I would be put in jail
\nand the key thrown away”.’<\/font><\/p>\n
