\nIt may go down as the cruelest tech demo in the history of videogames: a remake of the very first scene of Final Fantasy VII<\/a> that was intended only to show off the PlayStation 3’s power, but instead went on to fan desires for a full-blown remake for the last four years. Desires that just keep getting shot down.<\/p>\n The latest crushing rebuff comes from none other than FFVII character designer (and now game director) Tetsuya Nomura, who said in this week’s Famitsu that no one should expect a remake anytime soon. “Fans are looking forward to an oft rumored remake of FFVII, but I don’t believe this will happen for the time being,” Nomura said (via<\/a> Andriasang).<\/p>\n But wait! It’s not all bad news!
