In Sawyer\u2019s First 4 Weeks as Anchor, World News is Up 8% in Total Viewers and 6% in the Demo Over its Season to Date Average<\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

For the week of January 11th \u201cABC World News with Diane Sawyer\u201d averaged 8.53 million Total Viewers and a 2.0\/7 among Adults 25-54 according to Nielsen Media Research.<\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

For the week, \u201cWorld News\u201d was up 4% (+350,000) among Total Viewers and up 6% (+150,000) among Adults 25-54 compared to its season-to-date average.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

In Diane Sawyer\u2019s first four weeks as anchor, \u201cWorld News\u201d has averaged 8,800,000 Total Viewers and 2,460,000 Adults 25-54.  That is up 8% (+620,000) above World News\u2019 season-to-date average among Total Viewers and up 6% (+130,000) in the demo.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Compared to a year ago, \u201cWorld News\u2019\u201d total viewing advantage over CBS Evening News (1,790,000) grew 16%.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Last week\u2019s \u201cWorld News\u201d featured Diane Sawyer and Bill Weir reporting \u201cAfghanistan: Where Things Stand\u201d as well as extensive coverage of the Haiti earthquake from Sawyer, Robin Roberts, Dan Harris, Kate Snow, Martha Raddatz and Dr. Richard Besser. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
