\"\"<\/a>The news that David Maisel would be leaving Marvel (old ticker: MVL) once the deal with Disney (DIS) closed had been floating around<\/a> since early December. Footnoted readers may remember<\/a> that it was Maisel who met with Disney Chairman Bob Iger back in February and that a few weeks later buckets of options<\/a> were granted to Marvel CEO Isaac Perlmutter.<\/p>\n

Disney announced<\/a> last week that the deal had closed. But Marvel waited until Jan. 6 to file this 8-K<\/a> which had some details about Maisel’s reward, which worked out to just over $9 million, not including millions more<\/a> in stock.<\/p>\n

That’s not too bad of a reward for being a matchmaker.<\/p>\n
