This helped to create the 1997 Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of Anti-Personnel Mines and on their Destruction<\/cite>, also known as the Although landmine use in the past decade has been significantly reduced, problems such as clearance and rehabilitation remain.
