{"id":218537,"date":"2010-01-15T18:45:31","date_gmt":"2010-01-15T23:45:31","guid":{"rendered":"tag:typepad.com,2003:post-6a00d8341c5fcf53ef012876dd3c11970c"},"modified":"2010-01-21T11:43:01","modified_gmt":"2010-01-21T16:43:01","slug":"two-suspects-arrested-in-armed-business-robberies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/218537","title":{"rendered":"Two Suspects Arrested in Armed Business Robberies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">Los Angeles: <\/span>The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has arrested a pair of suspects in a string of business robberies. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"left\" alt=\"\" border=\"1\" hspace=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lapdonline.org\/assets\/jpeg\/susp-2.jpg\" style=\"width: 116px; height: 142px;\" vspace=\"1\"><\/img>On<br \/>\nJanuary 13, 2010, Angelo Wingo, 18, and Devon Glover, 21, were both<br \/>\narrested after a patrol unit stopped a blue BMW for a traffic<br \/>\ninvestigation in the 3900 block of Coco Avenue in South Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>\nThey were both taken to LAPD\u2019s Southwest Division Jail on suspicion of robbery and are being held in lieu of $200,000 bail. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\nSince December 2009, the suspects have hit up to six stores throughout the Los Angeles<br \/>\narea.\u00a0 According to detectives, the suspects would enter the store and<br \/>\nwalk around posing as customers. A day later, the suspects would return<br \/>\nand commit a <img decoding=\"async\" align=\"left\" alt=\"\" border=\"1\" hspace=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lapdonline.org\/assets\/jpeg\/susp-1%20copy.jpg\" style=\"width: 115px; height: 143px; float: left;\" vspace=\"1\"><\/img>takeover robbery during which they ordered the employees<br \/>\nto a back room, tied them up and demanded access to the safe.\u00a0 The<br \/>\nsuspects then left with an undisclosed amount of money and drove off. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\nDuring the investigation, Wilshire Division robbery detectives learned<br \/>\nthe suspects\u2019 vehicle description and shared the information with<br \/>\nneighboring police stations, which lead to the arrest of the robbers.<\/p>\n<p>\nDetectives believe the suspects are part of a large robbery ring and<br \/>\nare asking for the public\u2019s help in recognizing Wingo and Glover to<br \/>\nlink them to additional reported robberies.<\/p>\n<p>\nAnyone with information about this crime is urged to call Wilshire<br \/>\nrobbery detectives at 213-473-0514 or 213-922-8205.\u00a0 During<br \/>\nnon-business hours or on weekends calls should be directed to<br \/>\n1-877-LAPD-24-7.\u00a0 Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call<br \/>\nCrimestoppers at 800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).\u00a0 Tipsters may also<br \/>\ncontact Crimestoppers by texting to phone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on<br \/>\nmost keypads) with a cell phone.
