A gentle cleaning and fluoride application is usually performed by a dental assistant. Usually, no x-rays are taken at this appointment. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.silverstardental.com\/welcome.php\">dentist<\/a> will also look for relatively common and uncommon oral conditions affecting infants, such as tongue-tie, missing teeth, abnormal teeth, and other conditions. A dentist can also provide anticipatory guidance to parents to help prevent potential problems and dental disease, and to answer questions parents may have about their child\u2019s new teeth and oral health.
