Also making noise: Pre Plus, HTML5, SSDs, Kindle apps and the punch heard &#8217;round the Apple Store.<\/p>\n<p>Apple&#8217;s January 27th event was <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5451005\/apple-january-27th-come-see-our-latest-creation-event-confirmed\">confirmed<\/a> with a splatter of paint.<\/p>\n<p>And oh were there rumors. <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5453903\/the-apple-tablet-a-first+generation-iphone-thats-met-its-match-with-a-rolling-pin\">One report<\/a> said it was an iPhone flattened with a rolling pin. The WSJ said that we&#8217;d <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5453246\/rumor-apples-tablet-will-be-shared-by-family-members-and-recognize-your-face-via-webcam\">share<\/a> our Tablets with our families (yeah right). One even suggested it could <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5453752\/just-how-miraculous-could-an-apple-tablet-be\">cure lupus<\/a> (not really).<\/p>\n<p>We started our <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5451391\/guess-the-apple-tablet-features-win-one-for-yourself\">Apple Tablet Sweepstakes<\/a>. There&#8217;s still time to enter, so guess the mystery device&#8217;s specs and features and we&#8217;ll buy you one.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus reflected on the Apple Tablet interface and <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5452501\/the-apple-tablet-interface-must-be-like-this\">sorted out<\/a> what makes sense and what just plain doesn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>John rounded up some of the <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5452286\/historys-five-dumbest-apple-tablet-rumors\">dumbest tablet rumors<\/a> of all time.<\/p>\n<p>Adam rounded up <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5451175\/the-complete-iphone-v4-rumor-roundup\">all the iPhone 4 rumors<\/a> he could find, the dumb along with the not so dumb.<\/p>\n<p>Brian added up <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5448321\/the-subscription-war-youre-bleeding-to-death\">all those subscriptions<\/a> you&#8217;re paying for and it&#8217;s a serious chunk of change.<\/p>\n<p>Mark is still <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5452083\/the-faulty-imac-saga-chapter-2-even-steve-jobs-cant-fix-em\">fighting the good fight<\/a> on the yellow iMac front.<\/p>\n<p>Joel <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5451242\/show-and-sell-the-secret-to-apples-magic\">revealed the secret<\/a> of Apple&#8217;s magic: they show off products that you can <i>actually buy<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>We <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5453043\/palm-pre-plus-review\">reviewed<\/a> the Palm Pre Plus.
