Remember back in 2003, when voters decided Gray Davis was running the state into the ground and picked a movie superhero to lead California?<\/p>\n

Well, a new poll finds that Californians believe Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has made a mess of things.<\/p>\n

According to California Politics' Anthony Yor<\/a>k, a majority of Californians believe California is worse off now than when Schwarzenegger took office in late 2003, a new Field Poll finds. <\/o:p><\/p>\n

The survey found 59% of those surveyed believe the state will be in worse condition after Schwarzenegger\u2019s tenure is over. Only 7% of the registered voters surveyed  <\/span>think Schwarzenegger will leave state government in better shape than he found it, when he took over from Davis.<\/p>\n

–TAXES:<\/strong> Schwarzenegger has said he won\u2019t support any new broad-based taxes to close the state\u2019s $20-billion budget shortfall. But that isn\u2019t stopping Democrats from pushing ahead with plans for them.<\/p>\n

–BUDGET:<\/strong>Controller John Chiang said today that without \u201cprompt action\u201d by state leaders, come spring California will again not have enough money to pay its bills.<\/p>\n

–BOXER: <\/strong>With Democrats increasingly anxious about this year's midterm election in the face of  stubbornly high unemployment, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) today came out against a second term for Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke.<\/p>\n
