The vehicle seats four in a diamond pattern and has supercar aerodynamics and performance to offer a fuel-efficient, low-emission ride.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2010\/01\/25\/gridcharger_2_3dMUx_69.jpg\" alt=\"gridcharger_2\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The concept comes with a steam turbine that runs at constant low rpm to top up the vehicle\u2019s onboard batteries and also provide power to its four in-wheel motors. The motors are also equipped with a regenerative braking mechanism to recharge the batteries whenever the brakes are applied.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2010\/01\/25\/gridcharger_3_pqs8J_69.jpg\" alt=\"gridcharger_3\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The water tank for the steam turbine is spinally mounted aft of the rear seat, providing structure and protection for the vehicle occupants, as well as surrounding the boiler.
