Numerous publications reported earlier this morning that General Motors could sign a deal to sell Saab to Spyker either today<\/a> or sometime early this week.<\/p>\n

Spyker has just released a short statement saying:<\/p>\n

Spyker Cars N.V., manufacturer of exclusive premium sports cars, has noted recent press speculation about the SAAB negotiations. Spyker confirms that talks are ongoing, the outcome of which is still uncertain. As SAAB is currently in liquidation talks must end soon<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Bloomberg<\/em> reported earlier today that Spyker had offered GM cash and share in a new Saab that would be worth $500 million.<\/p>\n
